Hello book blob, it’s been awhile. Finally finally, despite my best efforts to push you away amidst toddler tantrums and household mayhem, I’ve come back to you. So sorry it’s been so long. I’m trying to turn over a new leaf and get back on track with reading the below titles for 2010. It makes me a better person, for reals.

Far from the 5o book challenges I have done in the past, below is the list of 26 books from 2008/2009 that I never had the time to even glance at let alone read. With two children and ever-increasing list of work duties, 26 books seems way more realistic than 50.

And so, the list for 2010:

That’s what I wanted to first call this new blog: Better Off Read. But someone else took it, along with other never-heard-of blog names like Baby Got Books and Book Slut. Damn interwebs.

And then I thought of Books Not Blogs, because I was making a concentrated effort to move away from my old blog where I talked more about parenting and friends and how my anxiety makes me feel and blah diggity boring blah. That blog had run its course, and I was sick of seeing myself reflected back in the sporadic posts. I wanted instead to return to the one thing that I had never grown tired of with that blog: the books. I had started a 50 book challenge at one point a few years ago, and it had truly enriched my life. I remembered what falling in love with a book was like.

Back to the name of this blog. In the end The Book Table won, namely because it was available and didn’t sound too precious.

And here we are again. Blogging about books.

It’s good to be home.
